Unusual Sight On The Streets Of New Bedford

Maybe you've seen this too.   It certainly grabs your attention for a second or two.   A guy name John cruising the streets in the north end of New Bedford on his vintage bike replica.

John told me that he's owned the bike for a couple of years now, and the reason it's painted gold is that it is one that was used at Disney World.   He said it was built in 1992 but is a replica of a bike from about 130 years ago.

I asked if it's difficult to climb on and off this this monster bike.  John said not really but he did have a mishap on the bike.  He once fell off and broke his pelvis.  Ouch.   Happy riding John.
