It happens. Sometimes you can't help jumping on board something popular and being a part of the "cool" crowd. Even if you lose your job? Yes, even if you lose your job over it.

According to the Huffington Post, up to 15 workers lost their jobs because they were doing the 'Harlem Shake.'

Seems a bit extreme, right? Think about it. Mining is a pretty dangerous job that requires you to wear protective clothing, so when you dance around underground, that might catch the attention of your boss.

Here's the statement from spokesman Sven Lunsche for the firing:

Underground mining has strict safety standards as there are accidents and fatalities. The Barminco management saw this as a breach of standards.

Oh well. At least they got some youtube hits.
