Two Reports of Shots Fired in New Bedford Tuesday Night

NEW BEDFORD - New Bedford Police are investigating two incidents of possible shots fired in the city Tuesday night.

The first report came in at 7:42 p.m. from 83 Forest Street, which is located between County and Bonney streets. Police say Shotspotter was not activated, and police did not find any evidence of gunshots in the area.

The second report was centered at 193 Summer Street at 10:40 p.m. Police received a notification from Shotspotter of one gunshot. Police say that investigation remains very active and are not releasing further details at this time.
