Two 7-11 stores were robbed overnight in New Bedford.

The first robbery happened shortly after midnight at the Rockdale Ave 7-11 when a man in his 50's pulled out a hunting knife, told the clerk not to look at him, and demanded cash.  The 28 year old woman was not hurt in the incident.  The suspect was described as a 5 foot 7 white male, near 50 years old, with a pale complexion.

Two hours later, the 7-11 at 1499 Acushnet Ave. was also robbed.  The 35 year old female clerk said that a light skinned Hispanic man in his 30's lifted his sweatshirt to show her what she thought was a black gun...then demanded cash.  He ran away with both cigarettes and money.

There is no evidence that the two 7-11 robberies were linked.
