Within a short three-hour car ride of each other are two of the most spectacular, breath-taking places you can ever hope to experience here in the United States. I am talking about the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam.

During my recent vacation I had the opportunity to visit both of these amazing places. The Hoover Dam is located between Arizona and Nevada, was built in the early 1930's, and complete two years ahead of schedule.   It soars 720 feet high and provides electricity to much of Arizona and Nevada.   It also creates a lake that sends precious water to Las Vegas, Phoenix, and to Southern California where some of the best fruits and vegetables are now grown.   The beautiful Lake Meade is the largest man-made reservoir in the U.S.

Just when I thought it would be impossible to out-do the impressiveness of the Hoover Dam, I travelled about 150 miles east to the most beautiful, spectacular place I have ever seen.   The Grand Canyon simply takes your breath away.   No pictures, videos or descriptions can do it justice.  You have to see this marvel of nature for yourself.   The Grand Canyon will absolutely amaze you.   If you ever find yourself in Las Vegas, Phoenix, or anywhere in the western part of the country, please do yourself and your family a favor and visit Grand Canyon National Park.
