Two Men Sought After Subway Store Robbed

New Bedford Police are looking for two men after a Subway store in the North End was robbed Tuesday night.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says that two men walked into the store at 109 Nauset St. around 8 p.m.

One of the suspects, described as a white man in his 30's with a reddish/blonde beard wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt distracted an employee by placing an order for a sandwich.

The other suspect, described as a black man in his 40’s with scruffy facial hair wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, went behind the counter where he placed an object against the victim’s back and ordered her to open the register.

Both men then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No employees were harmed.
