Two Arrested in Heroin Dealing Operation in New Bedford

Two people have been arrested after New Bedford Police carry out a drug raid in the far North End.

Police carried out a search warrant at 1476 Old Plainville Road last night as part of an investigation into a heroin dealing operation out of the home. During the search, police seized 66 grams of heroin, over $440 in cash, digital scales and packaging materials. The street value of the heroin is about $6,600.

Police arrested 56-year-old Angel Galarza and 59-year-old Jane Almeida, both of Old Plainville Road. They are being arraigned today in New Bedford District Court on drug trafficking charges.
