Black leather? In springtime? That’s certainly been a celeb habit this year. Granted, several stars, like Jennifer Lopez, have been donning the cold weather-appropriate fabric when in the U.K. where it’s cooler. Even so, it’s a startling but dominant trend.

Few things are sexier than a leather dress and nothing pulls a casual look together like a leather topper. Climate be damned, but something tells us we may start seeing less black leather as the mercury rises … or not, since celebs play by their own rules.

La Lopez wore a shiny black dress while in England recently. It appears to be some sort of exotic skin, but from afar, it looks like leather.
