A 42 foot tractor trailer filled with construction materials rolled over today, causing major traffic issues today on 195 West between 140 and Faunce Corner Road.  The highway was shut down for a time.  Traffic was then routed through one lane (the high speed lane).  Many drivers on 195 chose to use Route 6 as an alternative causing major congestion.  State Police say there have been a number of accidents on side roads from the increased volume and people trying to avoid the accident.

State Police are predicting delays on 195 Westbound until at least mid afternoon (and possibly into the evening) as crews work to clean up oil and fuel that spilled onto the road and into nearby drains.

The truck driver was freed from the wreck and has little to no injuries.
