Toyota Recalls 320,000 Trucks And SUVs For Air Bag Problem

Toyota is recalling about 320,000 trucks and SUVs because the air bags mounted to the roof can inflate without a crash.

According to WPRI 12, “the recall covers the 2005 and 2006 Toyota Tundra and Sequoia, the 2003 through 2006 Land Cruiser, and the 2004 through 2006 4-Runner.”

The company states that the problem was caused by improper programming in the air bag control computer, which could raise the risk of injuries to the driver and passenger.

The computer will be replaced by dealers at no cost to owners. Owners will be notified by letter about when they can bring their trucks in for repairs.
