Tonka Truck Recall

The ever famous Tonka Trunk may have started a fire in Washington State this past week. Christmas is right around the corner prompting many parents of adventurous and imaginative kids to by this great toy for their little ones.

Roxanne Harden tells NBC 10, she and her husband scored a 12-volt Tonka Mighty Wheels Dump Truck from Toys "R" Us as a Christmas present for their grandson Friday night. The toy apparently burst into flames as they were driving home where Roxanne saw the toy sparking in the back yard.

Toys "R" Us responded with an apology, a refund, and a recall, saying in a statement that while it appears to be an isolated incident, the company is pulling the toy from shelves and the internet until the cause is determined.
