This is my first attempt at Throwback Thursday.  I put this up on my personal Facebook page and got a big response, so I figured I'd share it with all of our Fun 107 peeps.

This was me as a 17 year old intern at Kiss 108 in Boston.  I was lucky enough to intern there when I was in high school at St. John's Prep.  My internship consisted of working in the music department and in studio with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dale Dorman (who did afternoons there at the time).

In the summer of 1991, we got a visit from Donnie Wahlberg.  He was there to play us a song...but not a New Kids' song.  It was a song from his little brother Mark.  It was the first time any radio station in America had ever heard Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch "Good Vibrations".  I took pictures with both of them before they left, but probably tossed the pic with Marky Mark.  I have no idea where it is.  After all, what could some 20 year old kid from Dorcester named Marky Mark ever possibly go on to do?

Well, he ended up doing OK.  Mark Wahlberg, of course, starred in a couple of Academy Award winning films (The Fighter and The Departed) along with Boogie Nights and Ted.  Oh yeah, and the whole Entourage thing, too.  Not bad for a kid from Dorchester.
