Once a month women have to go through something thy wish most men could experience -- you know, a visit from Aunt Flo. With that visit comes all kinds of fun times, including bloating. The question is, can you prevent bloating just by eating the right food? 

The answer is yes. There are some foods that seriously contribute to bloating during that time of the month, so it's best avoid them all together.  So what are they? Huffpost Women has put together a great list of things to steer clear of.

    Dairy

    While dairy products don't cause bloating in all cases, but if you have a lactose intolerance or gluten issue it may add to bloating that you already have. Even if un-diagnosed, some people just have trouble with dairy. If you have a gluten issue, this also carries the same for wheat and grains.

    Fatty Foods

    The article points out that fatty food, even the good kinds, can add to bloating. Fats are harder for the body to digest than proteins and carbs, so they will sit longer. A rich fatty meal might not be the best idea.

    Cruciferous Vegetables

    Long name, but very common type of veggies, probaly eat a few times a week. These types of veggies are cabbage, broccoli and brussels sprouts. The contain sulfur  and a carb called raffinose. It's hard for you body to break down raffinose, but cooking these can help.

    Junk Food

    This should be a no-brainer. Being that these food are loaded with fat and sugar it will cause your body to bloat. Sugar can also add to cramping, because it leaves your body so quickly.
