The Richest Person In Massachusetts

Forbes magazine has released their list of the richest people in each state and here's who made the most money in Massachusetts.

The Richest Person In Every State list also ranks these people by their net worth, so not only is Abigail Johnson the richest person in Massachusetts, her $13.5 billion net worth puts MA at #15 on the list.

Johnson is said to be from Milton and she made her billions simply by being born (kind of).

Forbes says Abigail Johnson replaced her father, Edward Johnson III, as CEO of Fidelity in October 2014 and became the third-generation Johnson to lead the asset manager.

Fidelity is the nation's second-largest mutual fund company and it was founded by Abigail's grandfather, Edward Johnson II, back in 1946.

Abigail herself has two children, so perhaps they too will be the richest people in Massachusetts someday.
