The "Blizzard of '13" just might become a reality. Regardless of a full-blown blizzard, or a big snow storm here is the list to help you prepare to weather the storm:

-Water...at least a 3-day supply. That's a total of three gallons per person
-Food...at least a 3-day supply of non-perishable, easy to prepare food
-Flashlight
-Extra batteries
-First aid kit
-Medications...a 7 day suppply
-Sanitation and personal hygiene items
-fully charged cell phone
-Family and emergency contact numbers
-Extra cash
-Pet supplies...collar, leash and enough food for at least 3-days
-Sand, rock salt or non-clumping kitty litter for steps and walkways
-Warm coats, gloves or mittens, hats, boots and extra blankets
-Multi purpose tool
-Wood for your fireplace, or pellets for your stove

The Red Cross also reminds us to dress is layers if we must go outside, but try to minimize travel. A car stuck in the snow could block snow plows and emergency vehicles from doing what they need to do.
