After burning down a little over two years ago, The Old Grist Mill Tavern in Seekonk has a tentative date to reopen.

It was June of 2012 that the historic restaurant in Seekonk burnt down after a tractor trailer rollover crashed into the restaurant and ruptured a gas line.

The owners Greg and Sue Esmay decided right away that they would be rebuilding. It's taken a lot of time and money to get The Old Grist Mill rebuilt, but there is a tentative open date.

Owner Greg Esmay told NBC 10 News that he's hoping for November 6th as the tentative date to reopen. That is, if all the necessary permits are in place, otherwise, that date could change.

The Esmay's will be holding a grand opening celebration, which they are selling tickets to. Seating is limited for the grand opening, only available for up to 200 people, and anyone attending the opening will receive an engraved glass and a tee shirt to commemorate the occasion.
