The Next New Bedford Santa Run Is Saturday December 8th

You can be part of it.   Regardless of your age or ability, you're invited to be part of the 5K "fun run" through New Bedford on Saturday, December 8th.   You can run, jog or walk, and the best thing about it, you'll be dressed as Santa.   Last year, nearly 1,600 St. Nicks took part in the first-ever New Bedford Santa Run, and this year organizers are hoping for even more.   This get-off-the-couch activity is put together by two-time Olympic competitor, and twice Boston Marathon winner Geoff Smith.

The cost of registration includes the full Santa costume including the beard, hat, belt, jacket and pants.  It's also a fundraiser for the South Coast Hospitals cardiac program.  If you'd like to be part of this festive holiday event, you can register at www.thesightings.com
