The New Shed Trend

It's finally spring and that means yard remolding- lots of it! For years I've been looking for the 'right' shed for my yard but lately my idea of the 'right' shed is being seriously impacted by the new shed trends. What's that, you say?  You didn't know there were trends in the shed industry?  Well then, let me introduce your yard's new favorite feature:

1. The "Bar Shed"

Obviously,  the Bar Shed is what my yard is most likely to end up with because we spend a lot of time entertaining. Therefore, according to my husband, the Bar Shed, becomes the most "logical" shed according to my husband.

2. The "She Shed"

My friend Wendy sent me an article about the man cave's new counterpart- the She Shed. Maybe its a yoga space, maybe its a garden/reading nook, or maybe its just a secret hideaway where I pretend I'm not a mom/wife for 30 minutes. Whatever it is, the She Shed is NOT the kitchen and I'm down with that.

3. The "Wait, that's a shed?" Shed

That's right, this gem was part of the Storage Unit section of the big box store. even though it has been named New Day, I like to call it Answer to My Prayers Shed. Am I in love with it? Yes.  Am I endlessly making the case that we need this building on our property so that I can live in it when I just can't deal with my real life?  YES.

So as you're out and about trying to create a nice space in your yard, keep these buildings in mind. With just the right approach, it could last you a lot longer than just a few nice summer nights.
