Being a major soccer supporter on the Southcoast, I would love to see our soccer team find a new home here! Fall River would be a perfect new home for the New England Revolution, our major league soccer team in Foxboro. The city's "strong soccer culture" and location 40 minutes southeast of Foxboro are just a few of the reasons, Mayor William A. Flanagan sent a letter to Patriots/Revolution owner Robert Kraft this week. He also invited Kraft and his development team to tour the city as the team looks to build a new soccer venue in Massachusetts.

A number of locations within the City that would be ideal for a stadium as Fall River rebuilds it's economy. Fall River's access to major highways would give out-of-town fans a reason to visit, see a game, and stimulate the economy.
