The fastest ever "working" vacation has come and gone.  But having the caliber of fun we had certainly made it easier to jump out of bed when the alarm went off in the middle of the night.

Michael Rock, Larry and I flew into Orlando Sunday afternoon.   Universal Orlando resort had a driver waiting at the baggage claim, holding up a sing that said "WFHN."   Did we feel important or what.   Then it was outside to a private parking area and into a big black Ford Expidition.   This was getting better every minute.

After a short drive we turned into this amazing palm tree lined driveway.   Ahead was the grandiose Hard Rock Hotel.   It looked like something build back in the 1920's in the middle of Hollywood, California.  Inside, the huge lobby and rooms were not at all disappointing.   Everywhere there were the coolest rock 'n roll memorabilia and photos we have ever seen.

After checking in we took a 5 minute walk on a scenic, winding sidewalk that led us to Universal Studios, The Island Of Adventure, and CityWalk.  It was already late afternoon but the parks are open 'til 8.  CityWalk, with it's amazing restaurants and clubs stys open much later.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic Park River Adventure, The Transformers 3D Ride, The Amazing Adventure of Spider-Man, Men In Black Alien Attack and The Mummy's Revenge were breath-taking.   We'd tackle the other rides and shows the next day.

A good guy named Jason picked us up at the hotel at 4:30 Monday morning with a Universal Studios Mini Van and drove us to the Broadcast Center on the Studios Hollywood recreation area.   We were like kids in a candy store.  The radio studio has the absolute latest state-of-the-art gadgets, and we played with them all morning.

We did the show, kicked-off the "Universal Song of the Day" contest, and then met our V.I.P tour guide.   She took us back to the Harry Potter, Transformers, Mummy and other attractions.   Then it was the mind-blowing, heart-stopping rides.  The Dragon Challenge, Dr. Doom's Fear-fall, The Hollywood Rip-Ride Rocket, and the Incredible Hulk Coaster.   Those are the most extreme rides you could ever experience.

After being back on the air Tuesday morning, then into the park to get one last blast of fun, it was time to head back to reality.  The big black SUV picked up at the hotel and dropped us off at the airport.

the whirlwind adventure is over, but the great memories of all that fun will last.  And even better for you, is your chance to live our experience.  Someone will win the FUN 107-Universal Song Of The Day contest.   they'll stay at the same Hard Rock Hotel, and enjoy those same incredible rides and attractions as we did.

Listen every weekday morning right after 7 for the Song Of The Day.   Play the contest with us, and you just might be having the time of your life before you know it.
