Thanks to confiscated drugs, the FRPD received a generous gift from the Bristol County District Attorney, Thomas Quinn’s office.

With the money in the DA’s drug forfeiture account, they donated $38,355 so that the department could purchase a new police cruiser.

Fall River Police Chief Daniel Racine could not be more appreciative and said that this new cruiser will be in constant use, 24/7 and 365 days a year.

According to The Herald News, Quinn, who lives in Fall River, said he chose the department after reading so many reports on how badly the city’s finances are and how desperately FRPD needed new vehicles.

Chief Racine added, "To say I am pleased about this would be a gross understatement, I am elated about this."
