The Creator of the Mr. Softee Jingle has Died

Honestly, this hit me right in the childhood memories...

ABC7: "The creator of the Mister Softee jingle heard in hundreds of ice cream trucks since 1960 has died. Les Waas was 94."

Les was a hero of my childhood. His jingle was the gatekeeper to heaven... Whenever I heard that song coming down the street, I knew I was about to be in heaven (terrible analogy I know but you know what I mean). Anyway, looks like I'm going to have to wave down the ice cream truck next time he comes down my ride, for old time sake!
