The Best Mother’s Day Gifts Are Home Made

My baby boy is now 2 years and 5 months old. He goes to day care twice weekly, mostly for the social interaction. Yesterday, when I picked him up, there was a Mother's Day gift waiting for me.

I probably should have waited until Mother's Day or at least until Larry came home from the Fun 107 cruise to open it, but I was so excited. Besides, I'm not known for my patience. I received my first homemade gift from John yesterday.

It is the most beautiful oven mitt with his hand prints on them. It totally brought tears to my eyes when I saw it. I will cherish this forever. I now know why my mom keeps a draw full of macaroni necklaces and cards we made in school for her. The best gifts are the ones your kids make for you!
