The Abbey Grille Is Opening Soon

If you've been waiting to check out The Abbey Grille inside the cloister of the former Central Congregational Church on Rock St in Fall River...your wait is almost over.

This restaurant and function space has probably one of the most unique locations in the area. The place is literally inside a church built back in 1857. In fact it was the church Lizzie Borden used to worship at.

But it probably doesn't look anything like Lizzie would remember...

The Abbey Grille had their soft opening this past Friday, September 30, and according to the Fall River Herald plan to officially be open within the week.

Executive chef Anthony Ricamo told the Herald that the plan is for an Italian-American menu with seafood available as well. Though he says the final menu is still being tweaked.

But clearly whatever is on the menu, the atmosphere will speak for itself.
