Thanksgiving Recipe Homemade Cranberry Sauce
Don't buy the canned stuff. If you've never liked cranberry sauce, it maybe that you just don't particularly favor the gelatinous cylinder that comes out of the can every year. Here's a recipe I tried and loved for the first time 2 Thanksgivings ago. I found it on Lauren Conrad's blog. It was really easy and I was impressed at how good it came out for my first shot at it.
Ingredients:
- Cranberries (1 12 oz bag)
- Cranberry juice (1 cup)
- orange Juice (2 tbsp)
- 1 cup Real Maple Syrup (not the pancake syrup)
To Do:
Wash cranberries in warm water, then dump into a medium sauce pan. Add in all ingredients to the sauce pan and stir. Heat on high and bring it all to a rapid boil .
Once boiling, reduce heat to low and continue to heat for 10 minutes or until the juice is nice and thick.
Remove from heat and let cool. Place in a jar or nice dish and voi-la!
