For the first time in 80 years, there will be football played at Fenway Park on Thanksgiving Day.

Though the Patriots will have turkey day off this year, plenty of Boston high schools do play on Thanksgiving...and this year, some of them will be taking the field inside Fenway Park.

Officials announced today that there will be four different high school games at the legendary ball park around Thanksgiving...two the day before and two day of.

On Wednesday November 25th you can see Xaverian Brothers against St. John's Prep followed by Boston College High against Catholic Memorial.

And on Thanksgiving Day two historic rivalries will continue their battle under the Green Monster when Needham plays Wellesley followed by Boston English vs. Boston Latin.

Needham and Wellesley have the honor of being the nation's oldest public school rivalry dating back to 1882. And Boston English vs Boston Latin is the nation's oldest continuous public school rivalry dating back to 1887.

Thanksgiving Day football hasn't been played at Fenway since 1935.
