Sending a text message of "FOOD" can literally help you find food for your kids this summer.

For many families once school is out for summer vacation, it can be a struggle to figure out how the kids will eat.

But hopefully not this summer, with the help of a text message and the non-profit organization Share Our Strength.

Share Our Strength has an initiative called No Kid Hungry and they have made it very easy for families in need to find breakfast and lunch for school-aged kids this summer.

By texting "FOOD" to 877877, you'll receive a message about the location closest to you that is providing free summer meals.

Share Our Strength is linked in with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Summer Food Service Program and has access to hundreds of thousands of groups nationwide that provide free meals for kids.

According to snopes.com, you can also log on to the USDA website and use their interactive map to locate food providers near you.

If your child is in need this summer text "FOOD" to 877877 (Spanish speaking texters can send "COMIDA" to 877877).

And if your child is not in need, you may want to donate to this amazing cause helping thousands of kids.
