I don't remember what it was like in the days after the Blizzard of 1978. I do know it took the area a week to recover, and when I watch footage of it, its mostly filled with people helping people.

One of the things I have noticed in the 48 hours since this storm started, is that quite a few people have been very vocal about the power company and the cities and towns that have worked around the clock to try to get things back to normal. I'm not sure if its just frustration because people have been inconvenienced due to lack of power and the ability to come and go as we normally would.

Maybe I would understand more if a week had gone by and the electric was still out, and some roads were still not passable, but after just a day and a half? I"m almost positive the crews that are out 24 hours a day, are not sitting there with their feet up without any regard for anyone. I know it can be tough, but lets try to realize how hard these people are working so you can go back to enjoying all the things you normally would.
