Teenage Girl Hit By Vehicle In Acushnet

A teenage girl has been hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Acushnet.

Acushnet Police tell WBSM News that at around 3:15 p.m. Friday a 16-year-old girl was crossing the street near 118 S. Main St. when she was struck by a vehicle.

The girl was taken to St. Luke's Hospital and was reported to be conscious and alert.

The incident remains under investigation, but police say that, at this time, it's unlikely any charges will be filed against the driver.
