A teen from Connecticut completed her bucket list by sacrificing her life to save her friend.

When she was a Sophomore in High School, Rebecca Townsend wrote a bucket list as apart of a school assignment and only had three things she wished to complete, to kiss in the rain, to travel to Spain and to save a life.

Her sister Victoria told Buzzfeed that within the next two years, Rebecca had kissed in the rain with her boyfriend and she had traveled to Spain with her family. The last thing left was to save a life.

Rebecca was suppose to attend Norte Dame this upcoming Fall but on July 2, while she and her friend Ben Arne were driving to see fireworks, they got into a car accident. Ben survived but tragically, Rebecca passed away.

After Ben recovered, he told Rebecca's family that she had saved his life by pushing him away from the car. The last thing he remembered was Rebecca telling him to hurry up while pushing him away.

While sharing stories about Rebecca after she died, her family remembered her bucket list. "It was a little sign that she was ok", said Victoria

Her family has now created a Facebook page dedicated to keeping Rebecca's legacy alive called Remembering Rebecca. It also encourages people pay it forward within their community.

She was just full of love and full of kindness and compassion and charity,” said Victoria.
