A man is facing charges after he allegedly caused more than $6,000 in damage to North Attleboro's new soccer fields.

ABC6 is reporting that 18-year-old Jarrod Peterson was arrested Wednesday on a charge of defacing property.

Peterson is accused of tearing up the grass by spinning donuts on the field with his car before any games could be played on it.

Officials say the paid $300,000 to spruce up the field.
