Taylor Swift took country music to the streets of Paris at the 2012 CMA Awards, performing her new ballad 'Begin Again' on a set designed to look like a European coffee shop.

Swift had the most elaborate set of the night at the country music awards show, with the storefront of a cafe in front of a backdrop painting of the Eiffel Tower. The setting was no surprise considering that the 'Begin Again' video was shot in France, and she called it "a love letter to Paris."

After an accordion player set the tone with a little tea-sipping music, Swift emerged from the cafe — in a red dress, of course, in honor of her million-selling album 'Red.' She sat down at table and sang the gentle lyrics about meeting a great guy for the first time.

You pull my chair and helped me in / And you don’t know how nice that is, but I do,” Swift sang as autumn leaves — both real and on the video screen — flew through the air. Swift laughed as she received a standing ovation from much of the crowd, who were likely recognizing her for both her vocal performance and for the effort she put into creating a mood with the intricate set.
