Taylor Swift “Crazy Cat Lady”?

Taylor Swift’s cats, Olivia Benson and Meredith became superstars after she posted a video of them waking her up recently at 6 a.m. meowing like “roosters” according to her.  And her alleged boyfriend, deejay and producer Calvin Harris posted a photo of the two cats too.

Swift named her two cats after the Grey’s Anatomy character, Meredith, played by Ellen Pompeo, and Law & Order: SVU character, Olivia Benson, played by Mariska Hargitay. She said she doesn’t plan on adding another cat to her family because that’ll create a “herd”.

She could be the one to change the stigma around on the term “crazy cat lady” because they’re not just for feline loving single women, but really anyone who loves cats, woman or man. But you rarely ever hear, “crazy cat guy,” maybe Calvin Harris become just that?

According to ABC Air Power, "I think everybody’s sort of loving cats right now," Taylor said. "It doesn’t feel like something where you’re like, 'Oh, I have two cats,' and they’re like, 'Oh.'" Taylor added, "It’s kind of like...everybody loves watching cat videos online. It’s sort of a new…you don’t want to say an animal is a trend, but I think a lot of people kind of bond over it. I don’t know. I mean, it’s like this weird language you can speak with other cat people."

Maybe someday Taylor and I can be 'crazy cat ladies' together and Olivia Benson and Meredith can meet my four kitties!  Now that would make for one great Instagram/Facebook post! #CatsOutOfTheBag #CatsMeow #FUNcats
