The city of Taunton has announced that they will be holding an End of Summer Festival this year instead of their usual Family 4th Night event.

Family 4th Night was rained out on July 1st and the initial plan was to reschedule to July 22nd. But things have changed.

The city now says they will be holding their event on Friday August 26th from 6 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

This new End of Summer Festival will be held at Hopewell Park in Taunton and still features everything that was planned for Family 4th Night, like Big Nazo from 6-7 p.m., Ball in the House from 7-9 p.m. and fireworks after dusk.

Event planners say the new date and event is to avoid any conflicts with other events and enables all their previous vendors to still be a part of the fun!

The End of Summer Festival will feature a food truck pavilion, though picnics are also encouraged.
