Your mom has always been there for you and would never steer you wrong so odds are, she has excellent career advice that you should take.

Monster.com has a bunch of great tips from the moms out there for anyone who is looking to start a new job and begin a career they've been leading up to.

First, take a career personality test.  This will help you weed through the different jobs and careers that simply don't line up with who you are and ultimately steer you down a career path that will feel right for you.

Second, once you've accepted a job or position, look for someone with that organization who could be a mentor to you.  Someone who you will feel comfortable seeking advice from and going to with lots of questions.  This will help enormously with settling you into your new digs.

Thirdly, always ask for what you feel you deserve!  If you don't at least ask, you may never get.  You know what they say, "the squeaky wheel gets the grease."

Fourth piece of advice from moms; "You can do anything you set your mind too but you've got to work for it."  I can literally hear both my mom and dad saying this to my brothers and I from as long as I can remember, and it's true.  Hard work will pay off!

Lastly, one of my favorites... look your best when you feel your worst. Regardless of what may be going on in your personal life, never let them see you sweat!  If
