Despite the best efforts, sometimes even the biggest of stars can wear the worst of outfits. No one likes to end up on the worst dressed list, but after last night's Met Gala red carpet these ladies made mine.

The 65th annual Emmys (which aired on Sept. 22) boasted plenty of stunning outfits on the bodies of celebs as they pranced the red carpet. There were also plenty of fashion clunkers, which bummed us out, since some of our favorite stars (and their stylists) were out of character and didn't choose wisely.

We're in the thick of summer with the sun at its hottest, but even so, our favorite fashionable celebs are still turning up for events looking flawless and like they never break a sweat. This week's winners were Selena Gomez, who was ravishing in red at the ESPYs, as well as Malin Akerman, who was bold in blue -- but sadly, the lovely Vera Farmiga overdid it with a billowy black gown.
