As we prepare for Hurricane Sandy to hit us on the Southcoast, let us not forget that if disaster strikes we are not alone.

President Obama has declared Sandy an emergency situation here in Massachusetts.

Mayor Jon Mitchell has urged everyone in the city to be prepared for the potential impact of Hurricane Sandy.

 

Regardless of how much this super storm impacts us, it's always better to be over-prepared than caught off guard.

One of the things I have noticed this weekend is a lot of people I talk too don't seem to be taking Hurricane Sandy too seriously.  Some of them have been too busy to take notice.  Others simply don't believe we'll be affected.  They are categorizing the storm as media hype...

Luckily with this kind of storm, we have some time to prepare for a worst-case scenario while hoping for the best.

It looks inevitable at this point.  It's a certainty.  Sandy is coming.  For the record, I HATE the name Sandy for a hurricane.  It's just not nasty enough.

Looks like we made it through another hurricane season, but we're not out of the woods yet. The Halloween hurricane Sandy dubbed "Frankenstorm" might make things a little windier than usual. Make sure you're prepared for the worst.
