Stoughton Baby Shower Ends With Tasers And Arrests

A baby shower at the Portuguese Club in downtown Stoughton over the weekend went terribly wrong when the crowd of about 200 began brawling.  

Bottle smashing, chair throwing and punching is what the police were confronted with once they arrived.  One officer said he was concerned for the safety of the children in attendance, since none of the adults seemed to care.   One man was zapped with a taser.

When all was said and done, 4 people were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault on a police officer.  Stoughton police say some officers suffered bumps, bruises and some scrapes, but no serious injuries were reported.
