Motorists across the Southcoast were being advised to drive carefully Tuesday morning after the first winter storm of the season rolls into the area.

The Massachusetts State Police barracks in Dartmouth is reporting that there have been multiple morning crashes, although it doesn't appear that any of them are serious.

New Bedford Police are also reporting accidents and slippery road conditions.

Drivers are being advised to reduce speeds and leave plenty of room between themselves and any vehicles in front of them.
