Sterling Corn Maze Honors Big Papi

Davis Mega Maze is immortalizing Big Papi in corn this season.

David Ortiz is set to retire this year and the Davis Mega Maze wanted to thank him for his years with the Red Sox by immortalizing him in corn.

The maze lets visitors try to find their way through a thank you to Ortiz as well as his likeness in sunglasses pointing up after a run scored.

It took weeks to work out the pattern in the 8-acre field of corn, but the finished product was revealed on Tuesday August 30th and Big Papi himself was there for the "corn cutting."

The maze officially opens this weekend and runs through Halloween with all sorts of events and activities throughout the season.

There's food, zip lines, outdoor laser tag and a whole lot more to keep even non-Red Sox fans entertained this fall.
