It has to be one of the worst traffic situations in the area, and it's been that way for years. We've all experienced it as we take exit 12 from 195, and we've all seen the many fender-benders that happen due to that mess.

Well the state of Massachusetts plans a three-year, $21.7 million dollar reconstruction of that area. The plan calls for replacing the overpass that crosses 195, rebuilding the on and off ramps to the interstate, and revamping the road from the McDonald's location to the State Police barracks.

The state officials say that although the finished project will make traveling on and off Faunce Corner Road much easier, we can expect major tie-ups during the three-year construction phase.
