State Grant and Loan Coming to New Bedford

The City of New Bedford is on the receiving end of a $134,000 grant and a one million dollar loan from the State Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs.

The funding was announced Wednesday by State Rep. Antonio Cabral.

The grant money will be used to shore-up the West Rodney French Boulevard seawall.

The one million dollar loan will be used to repair the Buttonwood Park dam.

The projects said Cabral, will ensure that our coastal community remains resilient and fortified.
