Starbucks RED holiday cups are back, but with no frills this year.

They’ve been introducing different red cup since 1997, always with an added design like snow flakes, Christmas tree ornaments and other holiday type stuff. This year, straight up red, that’s it. So some are wondering, why no snowflakes??? It is a holiday and religion thing?  Let's not jump to conclusions, maybe the folks over at Starbucks are just looking to make a cheery RED statement.  It's a cool Ombre red cup design, I like it.  What do you think?

Starbucks says "We have anchored the design with the classic Starbucks red that is bright and exciting.  The ombre creates a distinctive dimension, fluidity and weightlessness", according to Starbucks Vice President of Design and content, Jeffrey Fields.

See, it's all very innocent, now go and enjoy your favorite latte in their beautiful red holiday cup, cheers!
