Late on Friday, Marion police arrested a 36-year-old man on charges for stabbing another man.

According to Southcoast Today, Police found the victim, a 38-year-old Middleborough man, limping around Converse Road in Marion and Route 6. The man was bleeding from his face and hand and was intoxicated. He had told the officers that he could still identify his attacker though.

The victim was taken to Tobey Hospital in Wareham. He has no life-threatening injuries and should recover quickly.

Later Friday night. Sgt. Marshall Sadeck and Derryl Lawrence arrested Gary F. Phillipo, 36, of Middleborough on charges of assault with intent to murder and assault with a dangerous weapon. He has a cash bail of $5,000 and was transported to the Plymouth County House of Correction.
