Students at St. Michael School, located at 209 Essex Street in Fall River, have an unexpected four-day weekend thanks to storm damage from the Nor'Easter that slammed the Southcoast.

Significant water damage was reported throughout the building. Father Jay Mello tells FUN 107 that crews have been hard at work all weekend repairing the roof to the school, drying out the classrooms and replacing ceiling tiles and insulation.

There will be no school at St. Michael School on Monday, March 5 or Tuesday, March 6. Classes are scheduled to resume on Wednesday, March 7.
