Roger Williams Park Zoo is hosting a seasonal favorite again this weekend.

It's the weekend before Halloween and if you're looking for places to take your kids in their costumes, Roger Williams Park Zoo's Spooky Zoo is a good time.

Last year I took my daughter to this event for the first time and she loved it. Now we're definitely bringing her back again.

Spooky Zoo will be Saturday and Sunday October 27th and 28th from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and allows kids to dress up and experience the zoo.

Costumed kids can go trick-or-treating (while supplies last) at

various locations throughout the zoo and from lots of different vendors.

Plus there are animal encounters, costumed characters, hands-on crafts and the annual elephant pumpkin stomp.

And kids can get a free trick-or-treat bag from National Grid too.

Spooky Zoo is weather permitting and unfortunately the weekend is looking potentially rainy right now.

But if Mother Nature is on our side and you want a fun day with the kids in costume for some early trick-or-treating, this event is always a hit.

Plus all kids in costume age 12 and under can get in for half price.
