Speeding tickets are not among life's best things, but for one man in Maine a speeding ticket actually saved his life.

86-year-old Gavin Falconer of Kennebunk, ME was pulled over on Saturday and as we all must do in that situation, handed over his license and registration. But just after doing so, Falconer suffered an apparent heart attack and slumped over without a pulse.

Officer Matthew Harrington quickly stopped writing the ticket and transitioned to administering CPR. Police say he continued until a second officer arrived with a defibrillator.

Falconer was brought to the local hospital, where he is currently recovering. He told WMTW-TV that he hopes to see Officer Harrington again to thank him.
