The season for colors hasn't peaked yet here in Southern New England.  According to those in the know, there are some great places to enjoy and capture the fall foliage within easy driving distance of the Southcoast.

Once close by place, according to countrylving.com, is Tiverton, Rhode Island.  The website suggests a visit to the small town late in the afternoon to catch the colorful leaves and beautiful sunset.

Another New England foliage hotspot is Bristol, Rhode Island.  It's close, and it's suggested as an ideal town to take in the historic architecture along with the brilliant colors of late October.

The website also recommends a visit to Petersham, Massachusetts.  This is a town in the northern part of state, not too far from the New Hampshire border.  Although after the end of the month the colors in this area will have peaked.
