Sonic Is Eyeing A Rhode Island Location

Sonic is expanding once again and they could be opening their first Rhode Island drive-in.

WPRO has reported that the burger chain known for its carhops on roller skates could be coming to Smithfield, Rhode Island.

Seems Sonic has their eye on a former Wendy's location on Route 44 and are meeting with the town planner to see what they can make happen.

Sonic already has 3,500 locations nationwide, but this could be one of the closest to the Southcoast. Their website says Sonic is currently building a location in Stoughton as well.
