Just a few more weeks of summer left, then the leaves will be falling, and going along with it, some of my favorite things to eat. Sure, there isn't any corn on the cob, hardly any grilling, and no clam boils in the dead of winter, but also gone is the abundance of really good fruit.

There is nothing like a fresh bowl of in season watermelon, peaches, cherries, plums, and other juicy fruit, especially when it comes from the farmers market.

But in the cold days of winter, you can forget about that. Yeah, you can get some of it from the chain grocery stores, but have you ever bitten into a peach that you got from the supermarket in February?
